I am a freelance photographer and photography instructor situated in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.
My commercial photography includes art reproduction, landscape, wedding & portrait, architectural and advertising.
I truly enjoy the entire photographic process from capture, process to print and the constant quest of creating exciting images with each and every new assignment. As photography is my creative passion I have been constantly exploring and improving a diversity of skills, experience, and with each new assignment, creating a strong technical and creative photographic understanding.
I have, until recently, run many destination workshops to locations around the world and once it is safe again to travel I will restart a new set of programs.
My passion and knowledge of photography has successfully driven over 30 years of teaching experience. My faculty positions have included both the Digital Imaging and Applied Communications Programs and a diversity of Continuing Education classes at Camosun College. As a faculty instructor at The Western Academy of Photography, I instructed both the Professional photography and Journalism/Photojournalism programs.
A special project close to my heart was curating and presiding over the annual ‘Photographers at Painter’s’ weekends. A successful run of 10 years held at Painter’s Lodge and April Point in Campbell River on Vancouver Island, BC. I was so very fortunate to have the opportunity to associate with world class talent, top professionals in the photographic industry that were willing to join us for a weekend of photographic discussion, exploration and passion that was truly a unique experience.
I continue to follow the light, striving to capture the elusive perfection of 3-dimensional imagery on the 2-dimensional plane.
